About Us

Lucas Jon Bessey and Sonia Bessey are the Senior Pastors at The House of Joy Church in Ada, OK. They are joined by their seven wonderful children; Samuel, Christopher, Isabella, Esther, Joseph, Isaac and Jubilee. The Besseys are pioneering a movement of radical Grace, rediscovering the book of Acts Church.

A Quick Trip Down Memory Lane

2009—Lucas stopped suppressing the truth and confessed Jesus Christ as Lord. As an early believer, he did not understand the Grace of God and his mind was not baptized in the Holy Spirit. With no real understanding of his identify in Christ, he struggled with sin, sickness and depression. He was in the desert, so to speak. ​​

2013—he was baptized in the Holy Spirit and discovered the power of God. ​​

2016—his eyes began to open to the Gospel of Grace. ​​​​​​

2020—he felt led to leave the business world and to fully commit to preaching and teaching Christ and the Gospel of Grace.​​​

2026—his eyes were opened to the reality of Union.

A note from Lucas: One thing is for sure—the Lord Jesus continues to get bigger and bigger and bigger in our eyes. We have only just begun to scratch the surface of God's unending love!
