About Us

Lucas Jon Bessey and Sonia Bessey are the Senior Pastors at The House of Joy Church in Ada, OK. They are joined by their six wonderful children; Samuel, Christopher, Isabella, Esther, Joseph and Isaac. The Besseys are pioneering a movement of radical Grace, rediscovering the book of Acts Church.

In 2009, Lucas was born again. As an early believer, he did not understand the Grace of God and he was not baptized in the Holy Spirit. With no real understanding of his identify in Christ, he struggled with sin, sickness and depression. He was in the desert, so to speak, under the law with his mind set on the flesh.

In 2013, Lucas was baptized in the Holy Spirit and everything began to change. The Lord led him to the ministry of Pastor Joseph Prince and to the Gospel of Grace. He finally found Rest for his soul.

In 2020, the Lord spoke to the Besseys to leave the business world and to fully commit to preaching and teaching Christ and the Gospel of Grace.
